We have both eyes on the lookout for a visionary Design Director to lead the creative quality, evolution, and execution of WINK’s experiential design output.

As our new Design Director, you’ll create the magic by:

Defining and safeguarding the creative standard of all spatial and product design across the agency.
Leading the XM design team across live experiences, installations, brand environments, events, and activations.
Translating creative strategy into scalable experiential design systems and execution-ready concepts.
Partnering closely with the Chief Creative Officer and Creative Directors to elevate ideas from pitch to production.
Overseeing design development across all phases: concept, schematic, detailed design, and on-site execution.
Ensuring XM design integrates seamlessly with graphic, content, digital, show, social, and production disciplines.
Mentoring, inspiring, and growing senior and mid-level XM designers to push creative excellence.
Reviewing and approving design outputs, ensuring they are innovative, buildable, on-brand, and on-budget.
Supporting pitches with strong experiential thinking, visual storytelling, and design leadership.
Driving innovation in materials, sustainability, technology, and experiential design approaches.

While we’re looking for (very) out-of-the-box people, there’s a few boxes we need you to tick:

8–12+ years of experience in experiential, spatial, or environmental design, with leadership responsibility.
A strong portfolio showcasing large-scale experiential projects and their real-world execution.
Deep understanding of live XM design, fabrication, production workflows, and build realities.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire teams and elevate creative culture.
Strong strategic thinking combined with hands-on design sensibility.
Confidence in presenting and defending design decisions with senior clients and stakeholders.
Based in or near Amsterdam (or willing to relocate) and open to international travel.
