Introducing the World of the Works: a utopia of a festival for the biggest community of young professionals in the Netherlands. Because when you want talent with no compromises – you get 'the works'.
A UNIVERSE DESIGNED FOR OPPORTUNITY
YoungCapital is the largest community of young, talented and driven professionals in the Netherlands. Across a vast range of professions and disciplines, it focuses on giving young people the best opportunities to build real career capital.
So when they gave WINK an opportunity to inspire their whole community, we jumped at the chance to do something completely uncompromising to show the youth of today that there's no limits to the world of work.
Introducing the World of the Works: a festival designed to WOW and create opportunities to connect and play for the most talented cohort of youth in the Netherlands.
WHERE PLAY INSPIRES
Taking over Amsterdam's iconic Thuishaven, the World of the Works took shape as a sprawling, multi-purpose playground with a playful post-modernist identity that you'd find postered on any of the city's street corners. Inflatable-like shapes form a colorful WOW, and are fleshed out with a high contrast palette to excite and draw in the senses.
To highlight and incorporate YoungCapital's partner and sub-brands, the key art stacked up with swirling vortices and modular branded grid compositions to create a comprehensive identity that feels culturally relevant for young professionals looking to find their place in the world of work.
Then, physical manifestations of the identity were formed to act as a guiding spatial design and holistic approach across every moment of magic.
WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF THE WORKS
At the World of the Works, spaces to meet and connect seamlessly blend in to one branded world where no one feels they can't reach their potential, and stories are designed to happen in one emergent land of play.
With YoungCapital and its partners in attendance, the World of the Works allowed them to deepen their relationships with hundreds of young professionals in person, as well as provide guidance and opportunity to make the next career move happen.
Across the festival site, the layout and programming was dedicated to an endless mix of inspirational moments alongside world-class entertainment.
An abundance of areas to discover, relax and be in the 'now' at the W.O.W were contrasted by stunning, adrenaline-fuelled live performances all day, and well into the night.
A PLAYGROUND FOR YOUNG PROFESSIONALS
When you want the works, you don't make compromises on anything. You get the full package.
With a mix of genre-diverse, hyper-creative performers turning the heat up well into the night, WINK turned the W.O.W inside-out with a full-on assault on the senses.
We just hope whoever needed to work the next day left before the closer.
