PLANET ARDBEG: INTERDIMENSIONAL FLAVOR TOUR
A universe of adventurous tastes awaits. Popping up in Amsterdam's best cocktail bars, WINK opened up portals to Planet Ardbeg: a mystical land of whisky where brave travelers could sample seriously smoky cocktails.
DESTINATION: PLANET ARDBEG
An icon of Scotch whisky, revered by flavorful explorers from all corners – Ardbeg is known for its organic, signature Islay profile.
As part of its mission to make whiskey relevant for today's cohort of younger, barhopping and brunch-loving individuals – the brand partnered with a collective of top illustrators to create a one-of-a-kind comic book universe: Planet Ardbeg.
Featuring a world of big beasts and even bigger flavors – WINK was tasked with doing what we do best...
...bringing that world to life.
DISTILLING THE NARRATIVE
Planet Ardbeg centers on the Quantum Distiller's journey across strange lands and flavorful encounters. On her journey, she battles large beings in search of 'the ultimate dram'.
To bring this into the real world, WINK scouted the best cocktail bars in Amsterdam and asked them to concoct a signature whisky cocktail of their own, weaving into the comic's narrative.
As well as a signature cocktail, each bar was given its own custom artwork to further become part of the world of Planet Ardbeg.
WELCOME, CITIZEN
To enhance each space and make it feel inline with the graphic novel, each venue was given an 'interdimensional' makeover, with key artwork and high-detail styling across the activation.
On entry, guests were handed a guide to Planet Ardbeg – cleverly disguised as a passport to complete by tasting each signature cocktail and in return, winning a physical copy of the comic.
As the cherry on top, WINK also enlisted the talents of the Quantum Distiller herself to engage and entertain guests throughout.
